As December reaches its festive peak and families up and down the country begin to enjoy the celebrations, we’re taking a moment to soak up the magic of the season through the wonderful home makeovers our customers have tagged us in – beautifully showcasing their window furnishings from Blinds Direct. From cosy seasonal refreshes to full festive transformations, we’ve loved seeing the creativity, warmth and individuality our customers have brought into their homes this month. As the big day draws closer, let’s settle in for today’s blog – featuring some of our favourite festive posts we’ve been tagged in as we head into Christmas.

Our favourite social posts this month

Throughout December, we’ve seen our customers refresh their homes in preparation for the Christmas season, adding thoughtful touches and festive details that have transformed their spaces into warm, welcoming retreats. While Christmas decorations and seasonal styling have undoubtedly taken centre stage, it’s clear just how much impact the right window dressings can make in bringing a festive interior together.

Bay window wonderland

Our first post today comes from the talented @abigailrogersinteriors and her beautifully festive space styled with our Moon Regency Natural Denim Curtains. Covering an impressive tall bay window measuring over three metres high, these made to measure curtains prove just how transformative the right window dressings can be for larger, more traditional window styles.

Finished with a traditional double pinch pleat header, the curtains bring a timeless elegance to the room, while the matching piped tiebacks add a nostalgic touch that reminds her fondly of growing up in the 80s. We love seeing the before and after, which perfectly demonstrates how these thoughtful details elevate the overall look, adding charm, sophistication, and that all-important finishing flourish.

The soft blend of linen and denim blue tones works beautifully with the existing decor, complementing the cream carpet and echoing the pops of blue found in the cushions and sofa. The trending striped design, which has been popular throughout the year, is used to great effect here, drawing the eye upward and accentuating the impressive vertical height of the room.

Adding to the festive magic, the lower portion of the frosted bay window has been dressed with spruce and tinsel, creating a cosy Christmas scene that feels both traditional and joyful. Our favourite detail has to be the adorable mini Christmas tree, decorated with bows and classic baubles, sitting elegantly beside the window. Paired with the gentle glow of a candle and a charming metallic angel, these finishing touches truly complete the look.

Merry and bright

Next up, we’re thrilled to showcase @monkeymews_’s space, dressed in traditional whites, deep reds, and greens to create a quintessentially festive Christmas scene. The result is a dreamy, airy room that feels both warm and elegant, perfectly capturing the magic and charm of the season.

Golden sunlight streams through the Precies Morena Perfect Fit wooden blind, bathing the space in a soft, inviting glow. Designed to fit seamlessly within the window frame, these blinds bring effortless elegance to the room, with the added benefit of a simple, clipped-in fitting that requires no drills or messy installation – making them as practical as they are stylish.

Layered over these blinds are simple white curtains, which add an extra dimension of style to the windows while also enhancing privacy and thermal efficiency. This thoughtful layering not only frames the windows beautifully but also helps keep the home snug during chilly winter mornings and evenings, proving that aesthetics and practicality can go hand in hand.

Every detail in this festive setting exudes charm. From the warm white glow of the Christmas tree lights to the traditional rocking horse ornaments expertly arranged on the dining table, the room feels alive with seasonal magic. The combination of classic decor, natural light, and perfectly layered window dressings creates a welcoming and joyful backdrop – ideal for family gatherings, cosy evenings, and all of the celebrations that make Christmas so special.

All wrapped up

And for the final social spotlight of the year, we’re sharing a truly enchanting living room that perfectly demonstrates just how transformative window treatments can be. As @holly_homestyle herself beautifully put it, “you know your room is near completion when the curtains and blinds go up” – and this space is a perfect example of that sentiment brought to life.

This room showcases a pair of curtains alongside two Roman blinds, all made to measure in our iLiv Linen Cream fabric. The soft, off-white tone was carefully selected to complement the powder blue walls, while the subtle linen texture adds warmth and depth without overwhelming the space.

Festive styling adds another layer of charm to the room. From the prominent use of bows to the playful strands of tinsel cascading from the Christmas tree, this space fully embraces the joyful nostalgia of the season. Tinsel has made a major comeback this year, and we love seeing it styled in such a fresh yet traditional way. The bows, in soft whites and pastel tones, pair beautifully with the linen curtains and blinds, walls, and elegant white marble fireplace – a palette that feels both current and timeless.

There’s a gentle, joyful calm to this room that makes it instantly welcoming. It’s comfortable, fun, and thoughtfully styled, proving that the right window dressings truly do complete a space. With hues that align beautifully with the growing trend towards soft neutrals and pastels – and colours tipped to pair perfectly with Pantone’s 2026 Colour of the Year, Cloud Dancer – this room feels as forward-thinking as it does festive, and we absolutely love it.
