Summer is on the horizon, marching toward us bringing with it warmer days, hours of daylight and memorable days out. In preparation for what is often the happiest time of year, we’ve searched Instagram to bring you joyful images featuring the summer staples of yellow and pink! This month, many of our talented customers have invested their time and energy into making their homes miraculous oases of style and sophistication, these are three of the best images shared with us in May.

Our favourite social posts from May

In May we enjoyed witnessing a fantastic selection of trendy home images shared with us online. The use of yellow and pinks have been inspirational and after a lot of deliberation, we’ve managed to pick our top three! From retro-inspired kitchens to colourful yet homely bedrooms, these images demonstrate the stylish finish bright colours can have around your home.

Vintage vibrancy

Our first image comes from the incredibly talented @francesklondon. Featuring a potent mixture of pinks, yellows and floral fabrics, this is a delightful space.

Frances says, “One of my favourite things about designing interiors is putting colours, prints and patterns together in an unexpected but totally complimentary way. It is immensely satisfying to fill a gap in a room (like undressed windows) by introducing a new texture or print that once in place you couldn’t imagine the space without.” We totally agree!

The colours, shapes and patterns used in this kitchen combine to create a refreshing retro aesthetic that manages to still feel modern and cutting edge. The pink walls and cabinets add a youthful finish which, while bright, is still cosy and inviting. The yellow adds an energising element while the selective use of white counter tops and skirting boards bring harmony and unity to all the elements.

Completing the style of the space is the use of Laura Ashley Tulip China Blue Roman Blinds! These bright, summery floral blinds combine classic and contemporary styling, providing a chic and versatile look. This Roman blind is guaranteed to stand the test of time.

Captivating kitchen colours

Keeping to our theme of vibrant, eye-catching colours, our second post comes from the wonderful @theoldforgeincolour account.

Offering inspiration for another remarkable kitchen, this image demonstrates a bold and exciting approach to interior design. Beyond the individual colours chosen, their placement is very impressive and out of the ordinary. The chic white walls add a neat foundation from which to add eclectic blue within the window recess, pops of pink on the cabinets and further colourful details.

Perpendicular to the window is exciting patterned wallpaper adding yellow and blue alongside both wavy and geometric designs while on the window sill, a vase of fresh white and yellow roses adds a natural softness, gently balancing the otherwise bold aesthetic.

Below the eye-catching wallpaper, a small corner table topped with a scalloped green lampshade and whimsical pink piggy bank adds a touch of humor and personal flair.

Completing the look of the room while adding structure is the iLiv Newport Citrus Roman Blind. Offering style and functionality, this 100% cotton Roman blind

A bright bedroom

This calming bedroom from @indigo_casa  is a fabulous example of how thoughtful layering and timeless textures can create a stylish oasis of calm. Featuring a soft palette of sage greens, gentle pinks, and warm neutrals, it’s a space that feels both restful and deeply inviting.

The designer has cleverly combined classic gingham bedding with tactile throws and patterned cushions, resulting in a lived-in, homely look. The buttoned blush pink headboard adds a sumptuous softness, offset beautifully by the tongue-and-groove panelling and botanical wallpaper – a pairing that gives the room a vintage country feel without straying into overly traditional themes.

Framing the window is a stunning combination of quality Touched By Design Milan Chartreuse curtains and a soft neutral Roman blind, offering both depth and exceptional utility. It’s a subtle yet effective contrast that draws the eye to the light-filled centre of the room. A simple amber vase with dried florals adds a rustic touch, catching the morning sun just so — proof that even the smallest details can make the biggest impact.

We love how this room balances vintage charm with modern comfort. It’s a reminder that a bedroom doesn’t have to be minimalist to feel relaxing — sometimes, the secret lies in mixing colour, pattern and texture with confidence and care.
