August has come to an end, and the high point of summer has passed. With the last vestiges of the season still to enjoy, we’ve spotted some truly sublime spaces on Instagram which we had to share with you! With bathrooms and hallways taking the spotlight, these past four weeks have been filled with chic style and bountiful use of colour. Read on to learn more!

Throughout August, we’ve once again seen a beautiful selection of fashionable home images shared with us on Instagram. With August the month of long summer holidays and time off, the use of colour, pattern and material has mirrored the beauty of the season. These are our top three images from the month…
Pretty in Pink
Pink bathrooms exude a charming and nostalgic ambiance, reminiscent of classic elegance with a modern twist. This remarkable room from @talesofelsewhere uses a strong yet comforting pink shade to create a variety of moods within the space. The choice of complementary colours and materials has played a crucial role in achieving the desired effect.
Pairing pink with crisp white fixtures and natural wood elements – as found in the lovely Venetian blind – and the neutral tones of the ornaments combine to create a relaxed and organic feel. While daring in its execution, this pink bathroom retains the feeling of calm and comfort we want when relaxing after a long day. Ultimately, a pink bathroom design offers a canvas for creativity, allowing for diverse interpretations that range from playful and whimsical to sophisticated and serene, and @talesofelsewhere has achieved that perfectly.
Blue note
Blue hallways evoke a sense of calm sophistication, transforming what is often a transitional space into a captivating visual journey. The serene shade of blue chosen by @lifeatcapri creates an airy and welcoming ambiance, while adding a touch of drama. The choice of accompanying elements has really elevated this space to another level.
The thoughtfully placed mirror, works of art and plants amplify the room’s style, contributing to an open and inviting atmosphere. Framing the whole space is a wonderful mint green Venetian blind. When tilted to let a delicate flow of light into the space, the blind adds a magical finish to the whole decor. In essence, blue hallways encapsulate a balance between tranquillity and refinement, turning what might be a simple passage into a captivating part of the home’s design narrative.
Jungle vibes
Returning to lovely bathrooms, this gorgeous space by @my_little_northern_irish_abode has hit a striking and exciting note. Statement bathrooms such as this are captivating havens that push creative boundaries and leave a lasting impression. This opulent sanctuary embraces bold design choices, including bold wallpaper and ever so fashionable dark panelling.
Supporting this panelling is a luxurious Roman blind which is ideal for any well ventilated bathroom! This bathroom plays with contrasting colours, juxtaposing rich textures like soft fabric with, black and white tiles, and natural plants. The colour palette, simply put, is sublime. Overall, statement bathrooms transcend functionality to become immersive spaces that redefine luxury and leave a lasting impression on anyone who experiences them. It’s a 10/10 from us!
