June is coming to an end and the second half of 2023 has officially begun. With summer upon us, we’ve spent time in the sun enjoying some fantastic images from Instagram and found three that we absolutely love! Brew up, relax, and enjoy our social snapshot from June!

Our favourite social posts from June

In June we’ve seen somewhat of a trend of soft neutral colours working alongside statement shades in reimaginations of monochrome design. With shades of white, grey and warmer neutrals placed alongside bolder shades, these past four weeks have shown off some superb styles which we just had to share with you!

A magical master bedroom

For a long time, we’ve celebrated the use of warm, neutral colours being partnered with tones that offer a delightful point of interest in a space. While this approach can be enjoyed in any room, it’s particularly powerful in bedrooms.

This timelessly chic space by countrylifemystyle demonstrates how sublime a finish you can enjoy with a relatively limited colour palette. The walls are painted in a cosy shade that sits between cream and grey, interspersed with wooden shades from the flooring to the picture frames. The most interesting colour however has to be the use of pink!

In this delightful room, there are a few shades of closely related pinks on the rug, the chair, and the bed. By placing pink around the space, and at different levels, the room feels larger and fresher, while becoming clearly more stylish.

By making such excellent use of block colours, countrylifemystyle has also been able to introduce some chic patterns into the room such as some cushions, the rug, and the fabulous Roman blind in the window recesses. It’s sublime!

Motivational monochrome

Monochrome interior design has always been a chic option for stylish homes, and this bathroom from atnumbersixteen_ showcases just how powerful a trend it can be!

Let’s start with the walls. The walls that aren’t tiled are painted in a deep, moody dark green, which is incredibly fashionable. To offset the potential of this room then becoming too dark, atnumbersixteen_ has used brilliant white tiles. What’s particularly beautiful about this step is the gaps found between the tiles. This detail helps the room feel cohesive and not at all jarring.

The monochrome theme goes even further with dark towels and cabinets and of course the remarkable white shutter placed within the window’s recess. White shutters built from white faux wood are an excellent choice for stylish bathrooms as they will let light in while keeping you private, and since they’re not made from natural wood, there is no risk of warping or cracking!

This is a really lovely bathroom.

Space of serene sleep

First of all, what space isn’t made better with the presence of a feline friend? We hope to see more pets in future social posts!

Beyond the lovely cat, this bedroom by claytoncorner is incredibly sophisticated and like the previous two rooms, is built from a restricted colour palette. This room features some very stylish scandi-esque details ranging from chic pure whites combined with greys, natural wood and only a limited number of patterned pieces.

By adding different, striking shades of grey – as you can see in the bedhead and windows – the space remains refreshing without feeling clinical. All these details have combined to manifest a bedroom that’s stylish yet still calming. As with many rooms with similar colour palettes, the use of natural wood retains a natural feel in the room while adding another interesting colour. It’s a 10/10 from us!
