A Social Snapshot: A Jumbo July

July is about to end, August is fast on its heels, and summer is in full swing. This month, we’ve once again been impressed with so many of the images we’ve been tagged in on Instagram, and after much deliberation, we’ve managed to find our three favourite social images from July. Read on for some summery interior design inspiration!
Our favourite social posts from July
Throughout July, we’ve seen yet another excellent selection of interior design images shared with us on Instagram. We’ve seen amazing use of colour, pattern and those all important lines. Below you can find some awe inspiring images which should help you find plenty of inspiration for your interior design projects…
Lovely lines
This lovely photo from life.at.no2 features some striking, calming colours, but what caught our eye is the use of straight and curved lines.
Within this space, there is fabulous use of neutral colours with warm creams, contemplative greys and the magical power of wood and plants to add pops of interest. This classic colour palette is chic and welcoming, but what elevates this room to an even higher level has to be the use of lines.
Throughout the room, you can see plenty of straight lines which gives a very clean finish to the decor. These are found on the panelling, the table and bench, the windows and of course the superb Perfect Fit Venetian blinds. Contrasting with these lines however is the selective use of curves. The large, round clock, the light fixture and the table ornaments make the room feel fun and the perfect environment for entertaining family and friends.
The limited use of plants also adds a calming natural twist. We love it.
Glorious greens
For a long time, we’ve extolled the virtues of using green in interior design, and this lovely kitchen from homeatno__9 perfectly exemplifies this colour’s appeal!
Firstly, the soft grey shade of green used on the cabinets and cupboards adds a unifying, fresh foundation from which the rooms’ aesthetic has been further enhanced. The contrasting use of white walls, wicker stool seats and of course the beautiful plant add to the overall harmony of the room without overpowering it, or detracting from any individual colour or area.
Adding a luxurious finish are the gold coloured handles and taps, and of course the beautiful patterned Roman blind.
Roman blinds are synonymous with luxury and quality, and the pattern chosen connects every element of the room in one, well-lit part of the room. Take inspiration from homeatno__9 and consider adding green into your home this summer.
Nurturing neutrals
Neutral colours are soothing and cosy making them the ideal choice for kids’ rooms. This thoroughly charismatic room from ourhome.ourhouse features a fabulous selection of neutral shades which we were really impressed with.
Tones of off white and cream, interjected with shades of brown and soft greys make this bedroom both extremely calming and charming.
Additional details such as the round patterned rug, the little bunny in the bag on the wall and the baby changing station atop the chest of drawers add little notes of interest while keeping the space soft and calming overall.
Finally, the use of a chic white Venetian blind and cream roller blind adds a decorative finish to the room that will also help block out external light helping the little adventurer that lives here to sleep well and dream of magical things. It’s a truly great room!
