PVC Faux Wood

Blinds Direct are delighted to offer one of the best faux wood blinds on the market. Our PVC faux wood blinds capture the essence of natural wood while providing unmatched durability and resilience. An economical alternative to real wood, these PVC blinds bring you style and functionality without a large price tag.

Made from the finest materials, we only use the highest quality PVC, sourced from trusted partners. PVC is a popular plastic that lends itself perfectly to the home, thanks to its durability, strength and versatility.

Its 100% moisture resistance makes it particularly suited to window blinds, especially for the kitchen or bathroom. Our faux wood blinds are easy to use and require very little maintenance. When it comes to cleaning your faux wood blind, just wipe down with a damp cloth.

Unlike some competitors, our faux wood blinds come complete with a heavy-duty steel headrail, which will not bend or warp. We include a coordinating PVC valance to cover the headrail, ensuring your blind is sleek from top to bottom.

Here at Blinds Direct, we have been selling blinds for over ten years, and we're proud to say that our products are the best and most reliable on the market.

Important Notes

Our images

Product images are for illustration purposes only. While we endeavour to provide the best representation possible, we always recommend that you request a free sample before your purchase. Please note, the tapes illustrated on the image are representations and the amount of tapes may differ depending on the width of your blind.

The headrail

The headrails on some of our wooden blinds have recently been upgraded and therefore you may notice a slight difference in terms of colour and/or features. A pelmet is provided to cover the headrail so the potential difference in colour or size should not be noticeable.

The pelmet

The pelmet will be left at the standard size so it can be used to cover the headrail if fitted outside of the window recess. The pelmet is mitred on one end only. This means that the pelmet will need cutting down to size and can be easily done with a fine wood saw or hacksaw. A mitred finish on your pelmet is only required when fitting outside the recess; a straight cut will be sufficient for a recess blind.

Made to measure blinds

Please note, all made to measure are produced to a +/- 5mm tolerance level. This is in addition to any recess deduction. When ordering a made to measure item, you are responsible for entering you required width and drop, therefore the product cannot be returned under normal terms and conditions.

The ends of your blind

These blinds are cut from standard blinds so the ends will be unfinished/unpainted. This is not normally a problem as the ends are not visible when placed within a recess.

The brackets and controls for your blind

All necessary brackets and fittings are included. The blinds are easily fitted using our universal brackets which can be face fixed or top fixed to the window, wall or lintel. We do not advise side fitting your wooden blind in a recess due to the deduction made. The raise control is on the right-hand side and the tilt control on the left.

The drop of your blind

The actual drop of your blind will be dependent on the slat size. We endeavour to produce a drop as close as possible to your measurements, however the blind may be slightly longer than the drop requested.

Recess Depths

The window recess requirements for wooden blinds depend upon the chosen slat size. Wooden blinds with 25mm or 35mm slats will require a minimum recess depth of 5cm, while alternatives with 50mm or 64mm slats will require 6.5cm in the recess.

Child Safety

We take the safety and well-being of children very seriously. That's why all of our blinds are supplied with a child safety device, which ensures cords and chains are safely secured to the wall, preventing the risk of strangulation. Each blind is manufactured with a maximum chain length of one metre, keeping it out of reach of small children. If you require a chain longer than one metre, please contact us when you have placed your order. Conditions will still apply in accordance with child safety regulations.

We are proud members of the British Blinds and Shutters Association (BBSA). The BBSA is a leading trade association that represents manufacturers and suppliers of blinds and shutters. As members of the BBSA, we are committed to supplying blinds that are child-safe, and all of our products undergo rigorous testing to ensure they comply with the guidelines outlined in the British and European Safety Standard (BS EN 13120:2009+A1:2014).
