Roof Blinds for Skylight and Roof Windows
Why Buy Our Made To Measure Roof Blinds
Choosing the Right Roof Blind for Your Room
Bedrooms, Loft Conversions & Children's Rooms
Blackout roof blinds are often the preferred choice for loft bedrooms, guest rooms, nurseries and attic conversions. They help block unwanted daylight entering through roof windows, creating a darker, more comfortable environment for sleep. All of our roof blinds are child-safe with no trailing cords.
Home Offices & Loft Workspaces
For home offices with roof windows, dimout roof blinds help reduce glare on screens while still allowing natural daylight into the room. They provide a practical balance between brightness and comfort, making them ideal for loft workspaces and garden room offices with skylights.
Extensions, Orangerys & Rooms with Skylights
Modern extensions and open-plan living spaces often feature skylights to maximise natural light. While this creates bright, inviting rooms, it can also lead to excess heat during the summer months. Dimout roof blinds help soften sunlight and reduce glare, while thermal roof blinds can help minimise heat build-up and improve comfort all year round.
Living Rooms with Roof Windows
Whether installed in a vaulted ceiling, loft conversion or open-plan extension, roof blinds help manage light levels throughout the day. Dimout fabrics provide a balance of natural light, privacy and glare reduction, while blackout options may be preferable in particularly bright, south-facing rooms.
Bathrooms & Kitchens with Roof Windows
Moisture proof roof blinds are a practical choice for kitchens and bathrooms with skylight windows. Designed to cope with humidity and condensation, they provide privacy while allowing you to control natural light in these functional spaces.
Roof Blind Control Options
Manual roof blinds are a simple, reliable and cost-effective option, ideal for roof windows that can be easily reached. Smooth and easy to operate, they provide effective control over light, privacy and glare throughout the day.
For roof windows positioned higher up or in harder-to-reach areas, electric roof blinds offer added convenience. Operated by remote control, they allow you to adjust your blinds at the touch of a button without the need for poles or manual operation.
Selected electric roof blinds are also available with rechargeable battery motors and optional solar charging, providing a wire-free solution that's perfect for roof windows where running cables isn't practical. This allows you to enjoy effortless control of light, privacy and comfort, while maintaining a clean, uncluttered finish around your window.
How To Measure For Roof Blinds
Simply open the window and look for a small metal patch near the top, which should include the brand name and a product code, for instance “GGU” and “C01”, or “78×98”. The code identifies your model of roof window, which will then inform the type of blind you will need.
If you're concerned about measuring your blinds, you can benefit from SureFit Protection, for added peace of mind.
How To Fit Roof Blinds
Our Most Popular Roof Blinds
White Roof Blinds – White is a cornerstone for any chic monochrome space. A roof blind in a striking white will enhance a room's style and help to integrate other colours into one unified scheme.
Grey Roof Blinds – From natural slate tones to rich pewter hues, you'll be able to add an elegant grey statement to your space with a handcrafted roof blind. You can learn more about colours to go with grey in our recent blog.
Black Roof Blinds – Just like white roof blinds, black blinds are a fantastic addition to a stylish monochrome space. Black is a really great colour for roof blinds, especially if the walls contrast in a nice pale grey or off white.
Blue Roof Blinds – Blue is a very energising yet equally calming colour. It inspires us and when featured on a roof blind, will mirror the sky. Additionally, it will partner well with a range of other colours in a room.
